I think that too much is expected from Age of Conan and there is not that much time left so everything can be done to perfection. Maybe I am too much of a perfectionist, but I think that when you are planning to release a new game you should put all your effort in making that game the best game at that point in time.

This is something that many people do not see the same way that you do and I have to say that I find those people a lot more realistic then I find you. Do you really think that any game can be compared to World of Warcraft and win? I don’t think something of this sort will be happening any time soon, so I don’t think that you should be expecting too much from Age of Conan. This is going to be juts one of those games that will shine for a month or two and then it flame will go out and never light up again. This is what I think about having great expectations form any new online game and Age of Conan as well.

I can't even see it shining for the mfirst two months, more people seem to leave the game than stay already. They're lucky they have the hype to draw in the new customers right now.

i agree, i had fun for the first month or so..but now i am having trouble just logging in ;(
it seams like after you hit 80 in this game there is like nothing to do but roll an alt..and we all know how exciting that is /sarcasm off

I really hoped for AOC to succeed. But Imo they are on the verge of totally collapsing moraly.
Most ppl on my server are opently discussing what to do and where to go. never experienced such a breakdown before in a MMORPG..
(Not counting SWG after SOE killed it)..

When i was playing AoC briefly it seemed like it was going to be something good, than when i started playing i kept telling myself it would get better as i get higher, but it actually didnt. I don't think that AoC will be that great of a game, it seems as if they didn't finish it.

I think developers just need to start with an end to beginning mindset, making sure the endgame is set and worked on first of all and has a ton more content than the beginning and mid levels, most developers have it all backwards imo.

AoC will never be able to beat WoW because its targeted at to narrow of a gamer group unlike WoW which seems to appeal to even casual gamers. System specs hold the game back too.

You have to take in consideration about budget too they have been working on this game for a while and their budget for the game was running low. Along with that they wanted their game to come out before warhammer so they could get a subscriber base.
