Paden lives in North Carolina, right? If so, then his vote is very important, as I believe there is a close Senate race there. And as I'm sure you're all aware, the Senate is 51-48-1 (gop/democrats/independent) at the moment- a Republican majority or a Democrat majority is not a sure thing.

I'm not sure why people neglect local/state-wide races when considering if its important to vote. They might not have an impact on everyone in the country, but they'll have an impact on you.

Actually in low population states such as Wyoming, Montana etc. the number of electoral votes per person is pretty high comparatively, because each state gets at least 3 electoral votes. Not sure how North Carolina fits in there.

Yuppers and there is no way that Bowles (D) should be allowed to become the Senator for NC...he was a Clinton flunky.

However, I did vote for Easley (D-NC Governor), as I believe he has done a decent job...the rest of my votes were for Republicans. Wink
