With recent changes to monk defense, I've been contemplating Gnome Necromancy again ... but that'd mean reverting to lvl 54 =/
We'll see how things go with PoP

Well, Tomma was sold/traded again like 2-3 weeks ago.
Yeah, got a 60 Rogue/56 Necro for her, under the premise that "Infamous" would work to get the character Tomma epic'd ASAP as part of the deal.
heh.

Ummm.. when the guild disbands because the leadership of the guild bounced back and forth between the officers, mostly because they all said "f**k YOU, I'm not inheriting Iceblayde's mess" -
I think that's pretty indicative.

I suppose that you never noticed that Iceblayde wasn't actually the guildleader then? He just organized stuff.

Yeah Iceblayde wasn't the leader....sure.
And the Pope is Lutheran.
That is why when he came back after a LONG absense that we ended up with 3 months of some very f****d up stuff. IE on the fly rule changes and some major favortism and loot-whoring ways.
Yeah.....he wasn't the one to shout orders in guild chat like he was f*****g David Koresh either.
Nope not him.
Fucktard.

/agree Reebo
I got no problem with most of the ex-Infa folks.....or most of the ex-leaders/officers.......my problem was with the few that thought they were all knowing enough to make changes on the fly without consulting with ANY of the other people involved (period).
Ice's biggest problem was that he KNEW that he didn't know what he was doing......he admitted this at least once...., but when others tried to offer up some helpful advice he basicaly told them to p**s Off.

| Quote: | | Do to leadership stepping down, Infamous is no more. We had an awesome run, 7 months longer than anyone expected. We came we saw, we kicked ass... Leadership places a heavy toll on ones life, and brings along stress and unenjoyment of the game. This act was nothing against anyone person, but there comes a time when 1 has to get back to the enjoyment of the game. We will miss the guild chat, the laughter, the wipe outs... The fun we had together. Remember that no matter what tag you are going to where, we were all friends in Infamous, and I for one would like to stay that way. Safe travels and see you on the flip side!!! Afliction |
I love this line 7 months longer than anyone expected Why f*****g form a guild if you planning on it being a collection of fucktwits and are amazed when you pass the 7 month mark? Wouldn't it had been better to make a Chat channel called "pissedatmyoldguild"? Yes Leadership is a p****r but nobody said making a good guild was easy task or there would be more out there...
Yet more roped in and hesitant to join another guild.... btw merit looting sucks ass
BTW this is not a flame on Infamous as a whole the members or the leaders but the flawed thinking that goes into making a guild.

When done correctly, it's the best system imo.
If your guild's merit system sucks ... leave. But if people are receiving loot based on how it helps the guild most and not just because you feel you deserve it -- then you've got a good system.
I would shit my pants if my guild had to roll for something ... cause in most cases I know when someone needs an item more than me, and that's usually where it goes (at least in my guild).

Most guilds are bigger than yours, at least the ones that can get items actually worth having.

So are you saying you disagree with the merit system? And if so, why and what's better iyo?
About a month ago we finished up 6 months of HoT/Vindi farming ... now everone is kited out and the merit system proved itself for us (50 ppl)

I meant, in bigger guilds most people don't know what everyone elses items are. Thus the opinion, "why should he get that when it's an upgrade for me?"

Merit works fine if your guild is close and the people or person who is granting the rights is fair and plays all the time or comes to every event. Even so every time you merit something its based on your or your officers choice of who gets and that is based on human emotion. Point systems are 1 and 0's so there is no grey area thus no room for questions of who is deserving.
Sorry but after awhile every merit system faces the "favoritism" drama no matter how good it has been run. Only a few guilds can really use the merit system well and those are typically estabilshed guilds who do not see a huge turn over in members.
Has history taught nothing?
