and nothing bad happened. I'm shocked. I guess whatever damage it did is probably more along the lines of an invisible time bomb, since I know it couldn't have just worked.

Been using it since its early beta. Never had a problem with it. Usually its the clueless morons thats whine and b***h about something not working and majority of the time its the user's fault, not the software's.

Did you check the manufactor of that program to see if they released a update patch? Most software companies did.

Word - there have been a number of releases on a number of computer sites and magazines telling people to avoid SP2. We have seen some shit happen here at work with it as well.

Auto Update was turned on, who's fault is that? I'm gonna say "the guy in charge of the computers"... therefore, user's fault.

Ah nm, SP2 doesn't support AutoCad 2002, just 2005 version. But seriously before you guys go cusing and b******g at microsoft and reformating just check the software in question website and see if their is a patch or something for it, as most companies have put out patches to correct incompatablites(sp). But still its users fault, you can turn off autoupdate =/
Also why even update it at your jobs? It doesn't really offer anything for the work place. SP2 is more for at home use, better overall security, its a little bit faster, DirectX9c and so on.

Blame your IT or upgrade your outdated software, Autocad 2004 works great with SP2
