I hate car dealerships!?!!?#@#!#!@?@!!!!!

So the heater core in my Jetta went out last weekend, there's a vw message board I frequent and I had read that it was a known issue and vw was replacing the core for free, so I emailed vw last sunday asking if my car was covered, followed up on monday with a phone call and the person told me yes, they'd cover the repair.

The local repair shop doesn't have a good rep for service at all, but my car was crippled at this point so I had no choice but to take it there. Finally after 4 phone calls to the dealership, 2 calls to vw, the service dept at said dealership said it was taken care of and vw would pay for the repair (at first they denied that it would be covered).

So I drop my car off yesterday (after wasting 3 days trying to get it in and covered by the warranty) and I was told it would be ready today (friday) by noon. So I place a followup call the service dept at 12pm and am told its not done yet, but we'll call you when its done, fair enough I'd rather have them do it right.

So I followup again at 3pm and am informed its done, I'm out the door from work and get a call on my cell, "oh I'm sorry its not done, in fact we broke a spring that is part of your airbag system and we don't have the parts to fix it until monday" ... at this point I'm p****d. I said then I want a rental car and his response was "vw doesn't pay for rental cars" and I said umm you broke it, you pay and he said the best he could do was get me one at dealer cost and that the breaking of the airbag piece was "due to the age of the vehicle" the car is only 9 years old... uh hardly a classic .. f*****g moron..

I told him that was unacceptable and I'd be down shortly. I arrived and was referred to the service manager who after I told her what happened promptly wrote up a purchase order and I now have a rental for the weekend. I think the fact that I pointed out that at no time did I sign anything that said I was responsible if something else broke while they were doing the warranty work helped... f*****g car dealers suck f*****g c**k.. why couldn't the original guy just be nice? I don't get it!!!! f*****s..
