Other than the traditional Buff + Heal method, anyone have some ideas for PL'ing? I'm guessing a Druid could do it really well by putting some thorns on a player.
Those seem like the only options. Funny that "druid" gets this role in yet another game.

Not sure but I think you can also let someone attack a monster first, and then have the PL'er go up and kill it dead. Haven't tested this thoery much yet..but it's happened to me before. There could be a level limitation or something..

I'd think the druid thorn line follows by the same rules as the rest of the buffs, they can't affect those of a certain level to the rank in which you use. Thorns might not follow this, I'm not sure.
If one of a certain level engages a mob and his helped by those of a much higher level (see: I don't the exact level spread) they gain a minute amount of XP. If they're aided by one of a closer level, they gain just about the same amount of XP as they would have otherwise.
For instance in CB I was on my friend's druid. At 25 or so I went into SM with a level 60 warrior. Grouped, he was plowing through mobs left and right and I was getting ~50 xp/mob and the coin split. It was as close to PLing as I've seen; I hit him with Wild and Thorns and watched him have at the mobs.

unfortunately, we cant put a higher level thorns on lower level players. The level of thorns has to be closer to the level of player they are going on if they are lower.

WoW takes powerleveling to a new level (no pun intended). Group a level 25 with a level 3 and go plow through all the level 3 slaughter/collect quests in seconds. Really any class can do this, a level 25 priest can probably tank 4 or 5 level 9 gnolls or whatever.

Okay I'll find quests like "Insatiable Slaughter" or whatever. The ones that require you to kill 60 pig men.

A 25 anything could tank a lot more than 4 or 5 level 10s.

Oh man... it's easy as shit to PL in WoW.
when I was 60, I'd run 1 or 2 people through any instance that's their level range. it'd take me seconds to kill a mob and they'd get 100xp each for it.
I'd have them up tons of xp in no time, in addition to instance loot.

The reason Druid PL doesnt work is cause buffs hae level restirctions and thorns can be resisted.
