What it comes down to for me personally is, which one is the bigger moron? Because let's face it, they're both douches and if I could I wouldn't put either of them in office.

Yeah I don't care about his actual service that much..his medals may or may not have been earned. But being a f*****g traitor and bad mouthing your fellow soldier that is being tortured as a POW is just not acceptable. I know he will never be brought up on charges under the UCMJ but he has commited crimes under our laws.

How the f**k does that make me ignorant? It is a known fact that he "confesed" to war crimes and accused other soldiers of the same crimes. He was still under his legal contract with the military when he met with the enemy.

see guys this all relates back to a theme, very prevalent on this board.
ex-military people all GET IN LINE- SIR! when a war is going on.
to question a military action, or come out against it is seen as.. hmm.. disobeying a direct order of sorts.
you really just need to forgive them this, because it is ingrained in them in boot, and force fed to them their entire military career. Of COURSE they see Kerry as a traitor.
This is the same b******t attitude that causes these same people to call anyone that might have a reservation about sending our boys to die in a foreign country, unpartriotic. See, that's how their minds work. Don;t question for god's sake - you'll do situps. And if you speak up... OMG KP duty!
really guys, just recognize the mindset and have sympathy, for they know not what they do.

Lol everyone has second thoughts about sending our people to war, yes even Bush. It's not unpatriotic to not want to go to war, but when we need to fight we need to fight. We just disagree on when we need to fight.
Kerry is a traitor because he admited to war crimes, accused fellow soldiers of war crimes, and met with the enemy during a conflict while still serving under the UCMJ. Not because he doesn't like the Iraq war anymore.

Unless you have some kind of proof that he told the VC, "yes our troops are located here, here, and here; we have 16 armored divisions approaching from here..." etc.

Article 104 of the UCMJ: Aiding the enemy
(2) without proper authority, knowingly harbors or protects or gives intelligence to or communicates or corresponds with or holds any intercourse with the enemy, either directly or indirectly; shall suffer death or such other punishment as a court-martial or military commission may direct.”
Article 124 of the UCMJ: Maiming
(1) “seriously disfigures his person by any mutilation thereof;”
(2) “destroys or disables any member or organ of his body; or”
(3) “seriously diminishes his physical vigor by the injury of any member or organ; is guilty of maiming and shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.”
Article 133 of the UCMJ: Conduct unbecoming an officer and gentleman
(1) That the accused did or omitted to do certain acts; and
(2) That, under the circumstances, these acts or omissions constituted conduct unbecoming an officer and gentleman.
