The guy is like wtf..
Moral of the story... The guy just climbed a f*****g mountain.... for snow... the "right kind" of snow none the less.
Be happy he brought you any kind of snow.

it's not materialistic.
It's knowing if they put any thought into a gift, or if they just grabbed something out of convenience because they felt they needed to get "something" .
There is a huge difference between buying something out of obligation, and buying something that shows you listen to her and know what she likes.
Even if its something small and dumb, what matters is that you put thought into it.

sorry to hear your valentine wasn't very thoughtful. the best cheap gifts are creative ones like letters or cards with a picture of the two together with a cheesy poem made up relating to an inside joke or a memorable experience between the two.

Snow= The thought
its the same as the rest of the snow on the mountain. She asked for the right kind. Said man hiked his ass up the mountain and it still wasnt right .
So accept the thought(snow)

He took me out to dinner and bought me a thoughtful gift.
I did get a plastic rose though.  He got it as a gift from the store he bought the card at. It's on my desk -)
