It always amazes me when Canadiens bring up the War of 1812. They think they had some great victory, when in reality, it was the British who stalemated that War (yes, the war was a stalemate, noone won it). Canada then is much like Canada now, nothing without British/American support.

we pretty much won that war when andrew jackson kicked the britishs' ass in st louis even tho the war was already technically over, dumb brits coulda won but they had to try it while they were still engaged with napoleon.
