For a while, I was torn between making a Dark Knight or Dragoon. The choice was obvious after you play them. I am totally in love with the class, they're quite fun to play. Plus you do some impressive damage early on. First WS is 2 hit, rest of the line is Thunder, which works well in Valkrum/Qufim against the crabs. Of course, they'll probably be 3rd overall in terms of DPS, but they don't fall too short of Drk's. I probably will do more DPS than Drk from 49-59 anyways.
Having my pet Wyvern is probably the coolest thing. I wish I could ride on my wyvern, which would replace the function of an airship for dragoons. This wouldn't make it too overpowering since you would only be able to use it for limited airship routes. Leveling an advanced is so much faster now. Takes about half the time. Took me 1 month to hit 30, and now I'm 24 since Sunday. For those persuing this Job, killing the Dragon is a PITA. I sat for 1 hour messaging random Japanese players to help. There's nothing more convincing than seeing a Lvl 61 Dragoon soloing this beast. Pentathrust every 3-5 seconds = drool. I also get a lot more invites than my warrior. Log on and 5 minutes later I get tells from 4-5 ppl.

same with my paladin, I had to go anon just to stop getting tells =p Dragoons are definately awesome and I must say I'm semi jealous of your's. Raiden is so cute ^^ Too bad you're not a taru or you would own x2 I can't wait until 50-55 when we can do some AF armor questing.

Zuldane, yea I really regret it. They look awesome with that wing helm. I can't find a Drg Taru, but the Drk one would you give some indication!
Taru + Lil spear + Lil Wyver = uber cuteness!
Try to imagine a lil' wing helm with a wyvern over his shoulder
