You can always do a trial verison. I think even places like Target and Walmart sell a trial verison for like $2 that comes with a install disc

There are ten day free trials you can buy they come i think weith game cards and the actual game
Isn't there a 10 days free trial available on the official site ? I think you'll need a credit card, but only to create your account (they won't charge you, nor will they modify your subscription after day 10.)
Actually, they stopped requiring a credit card. I mean, really, it's about as smart as saying "Hey, you want some free crack? Great! I'll just need to see a credit card first!" Probably the smartest thing they've done in a while.
OP - if you have any friends who are playing, they can send you a trial which, if you do buy the game and pay for a month of gametime, gets them a free month of game time. It's called Refer a Friend or something.

can't you just open a trial account and then upgrade on the website
Only way to do it is the trial version which you can get trough a friend that has an account with Blizz.
Trial version. Need a CD key to use live servers after the ten days though.
yes use torrent but you wont be able to play online via blizzard search world of warcraft private servers aswelll
