someone with this IP addy 216.228.176.151 keeps trying to get into my computer....how can I find out who it is..

you can go to ARIN's site and do a lookup on IP Addys and find out who owns that block. then you can contact the ISP and report abuse of their network, since hacking into another computer is almost definatly against their TOS.

if something will happen, i dunno. but it might be worth a try =)

Probably a network admin's phone number you've got there. If you live in Oregon and know someone who subscribes to this cable service, burn their house down irl.

If not, log the incoming attacks and maybe printscreen your firewall's alert message and contact the cable provider. Definitely an amateur, didn't even bother to use a proxy.

Calling the person who's doing it is funny, calling their ISP and having their parents (assuming it's a punk kid) receive a formal letter stating the offense is even better.

Or they just have the Blaster virus and their machine is pinging yours and you are freaking out.
