Just a note: I was playing around with steam last night, and if you go the source thing under tools using steam. It already has hammer installed with all the settings for the games you have installed with steam. Tried setting it up manually before and I got bored and quit =p

Used to make small maps for HL1DM and Quake2 using Hammer (well it was called Worldcraft 2 back then). It seems everything is pretty much exactly the same minus the static mesh thing, will give it a shot~
