the whole name thing is just made up, i can say your name look like a scammer because all you have is two random words and 888 which is quite random.

There's no 100% way to know if someone if someone is going to scam you or not. However there are some telltale signs:

1.) Broken English/Poor English. This probably will prevent you from dealing with some reputable people, but unfortuantely for them the majority of scammers are from overseas (although there are plenty here in the states Wink

2.) Overeagerness to deal. Willingness to agree to even outrageous money to get your account. Means they are probably going to reverse the charges anyway, so what do they care what it costs. If something seems to good to be true, it probably is.

3.) Unwillingess to give out any personal info or carry on a regular conversation.

Unfortunately when dealing with virtual property, someone has to take a leap of faith and trust the other party. It won't be me however. I don't care if I can't get rid of the account and it sits there collecting dust. I know I'm trustworthy Wink

TBH, I really want to trade accounts, but have been skeptical about it for quite some time. Scammers scare the heck outta me. I'd really like to know if there's a way to completely avoid getting scammed?

Some more tips:

Delay in providing character information. If someone takes 5 minutes to pull up their armory, it means they're searching for one that you might like.

Also, if someone doesn't want to meet in game, it's because they don't own the character they claim to have or they're using a bait account and can't show in game because there's no character on there.

People who want you to "hit enter at the same time" are also scammers. This one is quite funny because if you still have the email in your name then it's not like they're getting your account.

Another tip is NEVER change the email on your account until the end of trading. Remember, once you change the email, it will give them the name of your account. And if you've given them your SA all they have to do is request the password from the community site and poof, your account is gone.

Last but not least, NEVER get rushed. If someone is trying to rush you with stories about having to go to school, or something else, don't trade with them.
