start, run, sndrec32.exe
start, ruun, sndvol32.exe
on volume control window, click options, then properties, this will open the properties window, on it click the recording radial. You are now looking at the devices your computer will accept sound input from. make sure at a minimum, "Wave Out Mix" is checked.
Now you will see the volume control window is called recording control. Check the box under "Wave Out Mix"
On sound recorder click file, then go down to Properties.
Once you have properties open, you can go under format conversion and adjust the data rate you record at if you want.
