How to Be a Good Republican
1) You have to believe that the nation's current 8-year prosperity was
due to the work of Ronald Reagan and George Bush, but that yesterday's
gas prices are all Clinton's fault.
2) You have to believe that those privileged from birth achieve success
all on their own. (this applies to BOTH parties!!)
3) You have to be against government programs, but expect Social
Security checks on time.
4) You have to believe that government should stay out of people's
lives, except to regulate opposite-gender marriages, what your official
language should be, and what form of birth control, if any, you should
use, as long as it makes a profit.
6) You have to believe in prayer in schools, as long as you don't pray
to G-D, Allah or Buddha.
7) You have to believe that only your own teenagers are still virgins
 You have to believe that a woman cannot be trusted with decisions
about her own body, but that large multinational corporations should
have no regulation or interference whatsoever.
9) You love Jesus and Jesus loves you and, by the way, Jesus shares your
hatred of AIDS victims, homosexuals, and President Clinton.
10) You have to believe that society is color-blind and growing up black
in America doesn't diminish your opportunities, but you still won't vote
for Alan Keyes.
11) You have to believe that it was wise to allow Ken Starr to spend $50
million dollars to attack Clinton because no other U.S. presidents have
ever been unfaithful to their wives and lied about it.
12) You have to believe that a waiting period for purchasing a handgun
is bad because quick access to a new firearm is an important concern for
all Americans.
13) You have to believe it is wise to keep condoms out of schools,
because we all know if teenagers don't have condoms they won't have ****.
14) You have to believe that the ACLU is bad because they defend the
Constitution, while the NRA is good because they defend the
Constitution.
15) You have to believe that socialism hasn't worked anywhere, and that
Europe doesn't exist.
17) You have to believe that biology teachers are corrupting the morals
of 6th graders if they teach them the basics of human ****, but the
Bible, which is full of **** and violence, is good reading.

Americans than handguns, alcohol, and tobacco.
19) You have to believe that even though governments have supported the
arts for 5000 years and that most of the great works of Renaissance art
were paid for by governments, our government should shun any such
support. After all, the rich can afford to buy their own and the poor
don't need any.
20) You have to believe that the lumber from the last one percent of old
growth U.S. forests is well worth the destruction of those forests and
the extinction of the several species of plants and animals therein.
21) You have to believe that we should forgive and pray for Newt
Gingrich, Henry Hyde, and Bob Livingston for their marital infidelities,
but that that b*****d Clinton should be impeached.

So to be a good DemocRat, you would have to believe that 9/11 had NOTHING to do with the downfall of the economy, that it was all Bush's fault. Also that the turn around in the economy had nothing to do with the Tax Cuts.

I'm not against government programs, but there is only so much you can do to help others. If they aren't willing to help themselves, then why continue them in the program.

No, I believe in prayer in school and I could care less who you pray to during it. Despite what people say about religion and the damage it has done (Catholic priests, etc...), it is still a good "moral" base for people to mold their lifes around.

Considering that most crimes commited with guns that were either stolen or obtained illegally, we should all be armed IMHO. I have a gun, do you? Or are you just going to stop your attacker by talking to them?

I was taught **** education in the 4th grade.../shrugs. The Bible isn't being taught in public school, so you can't use that analogy. Besides the Bible teaches morals for people to either use in their everyday life or ignore, up to them, no one is force feeding it to them.

I've yet to see any "GREAT" art come from these programs. If they painted like Rembrandt then yes, I would say support them. However, when they throw some junkyard trash together, it's not art. When they have some huge mural with some guy sucking off another guy, it's not art...maybe to you, but not to me.

Oh...so you don't want to count the reseeding of the forests that the Forestry service is doing? Forest fires are destroying more old growth each year then any logging. 26 species of animals/plants die off each year...naturally...it's part of Nature...an on going cycle.

We weren't impeaching him as a person for his infidelities, we were impeaching him because the CINC should not have been doing that while in office...period. But thanks to him, we can now get the message out that getting a b*****b is not considered having ****...yeah!!!

Both parties are full of shit, the problem is that people are f*****g sheep and require an affiliation of some sort to mold their ideas, wake up folks, think for yourselves and mold your own ideas  I'm sure I'll get my ass flamed but its all good. Bush is a f*****g moron, Clinton was a f*****g helmet, Kerry will be a f*****g helmet too, it never changes. They all pander to special interests and corporations..

Lauren, you might consider it a joke but the sad thing is there are plenty of liberals who actually believe that crap.
I'm not saying that the Republican party has all the answers. Both parties are pretty much hosed. During an election year, its all about the conquest of power, capturing it, retaining it and expanding it.
There is a theorist that proposes that the "endstate of the nation" is no longer the goal for politicians; the end game is power. Watching the Dem train wreck on TV makes me believe thats true.
Say whatever you want to get noticed and flip flop as often as needed to get support. If you are caught in a lie? Deny it or shift focus on the subject to Bush. If you are challegenged by the people to do something, say you will not do it until Bush does it and conveniently forget that you said you would do it in your stump speech.
Politicians are all whores, they sell themselves for votes. Whichever w***e you wish to support, ensure the platform they have is truly in the best inerest of the nation, not just your self-interest. For example: Whats more important national security or gay marriage? Balancing the budget during a time of conflict or properly funding and equiping all the HAZMAT teams throughout the country?
