I use to go to Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods every now and then when I lived in New York. But how rich are they really? Like are all members of the tribe living in mansions somewhere? Or do they still choose to live in the woods in shanties?

According to Arnie's latest ads Indian Casinos make 4-6 billion a year tax-free in California. His latest legislature is to impose a 25% state tax on them.

My dads the Sr. VP at one of the indian casinos in So Cal, from what hes said about the tribe, they make fuckloads. Basically nearly everyone is a millionaire when they turn 18, and get even more money if they get an education and come back to work on the reservation.

you ass bandits stfu. My grandma was full blood chickasaw indian, and she is a very very poor old lady. The majority of the american indians still living today are also very poor. Most of the profits off the casinos here in oklahoma go to heping build less fortunate families homes so they can have a place to live with a lowered monthly payment based on their income. All they had to do to get these wonderful things was have their families slaughtered over the land they'd been living on for centuries, and have their culture nearly obliterated. once again i say, stfu.

Even if you're partially related to a tribe, you can reap huge benefits. A yearly payout of at least 100k and other fringe benefits like medical, scholarships etc. What's interesting is that this is all untaxed income but even though states and the federal govt aren't suppose to tax them directly, they can do so with veiled threats such as not providing services such as roads utilities etc to the reservations and it's casinos.

Everything you said is total horse shit, with the exception of the medical part, and i'm sure there are scholarships funded by private organizations somewhere.

There are free hospitols, the average wait for routine things is 4 months, and the average wait on emergency room visits is hours, regardless of your problem.

You really have no clue man, being a member of a tribe is not some pot of gold, it generally gets you nothing at all.

I haven't seen one rich Indian here. Not a single one. Nobody driving nice cars. Nobody in restaurants of any kind (not just talking SoCal either). I've seen Indians here for sure, but they were mowing lawns and shit up North.

What are you guys getting so defensive about? I haven't seen one person say anything negative about Indian Casinos in this thread. They are pulling in shitloads of money in CA. That's a fact.
