I need to know how time consuming and addictive Eve Online is. I am considering starting playing it very soon. The research of game aspects is in progress, but I need to hear from players what do they think about the game. Is the game worth spending time to play it? I want to play the game for a long time, and I need one, which will not be boring after several hours of play.

It is very addictive. I sometimes have the problem to get out of it, so I spend excessively much time playing it. It is my case, so I will not talk in the name of other players. The moment I first created my character is going to be with me all my life. I will never forget it. It was so good experience to create a character, start the first quest, and to finish it. Eve Online is like a drug. Once you taste it, you will never get of it. The first impression is one of the best so far. I think you will spend much time playing it, if you like these kind of games.

It's very up and down:
On one hand, you don't actually have to 'grind' skills upwards since skill training is just done automatically over time (and will continue whether you're logged in or not, and will even continue after your account expires)
On the other hand, there's still very much a grind to get money to buy interesting things. You can get around this by buying/selling timecards on the Eve-O official forums (it's actually sanctioned by the devs), though.
It's a very addicting game if it hooks you, but the nice part is you never get that 'I have to keep leveling!' feeling you get from other MMO's.

I really like the NO-grind feeling with this game. You accumulate XP over time and not through kills.

It's very time consuming, all the way through.
When you're starting out, getting faction standing for higher missions...
To when you're collecting ISK for better ships...
To when you're losing said ships...
You'll burn out, take breaks, letting long skills train, and repeat. Game needs something more to it, IMO.

I used to pvp alot in this game, and being fc its really time consuming as it requeirs ur full attantion. And if ur out and shooting alliance and spliting ur gangs up and shit. It can take ages off the evening with 100% concetration.. Good fun but omg it takes time.

depends, but its very addictive and you will also need some patience.
the good thing is that you dont need to care for your skills cause you have a passive training, no stupid grinding: so you can even have a break from this game and wont lose any skill time.
you can even run a skill when your account will expire, just extend it when the skill will finish; perfect for vacation or when you are bored of eve.
the start isnt easy but as soon as you find a good corp youll have some fun...

for money macking its time consuming, but assuming you have a good corp that gives you skill books or money for skill books you could vertualy never "Play" and spend all your time offline and still be maxing out skills.
