Are there many active players of Final fantasy XI? I just joined this game and I am interested in this fact, mainly because I think that this game is great so far and that many players should be interested in playing it. I don’t know if this is among top five games when it comes to the number of players. How many people play Final Fantasy XI?

As far as I know this is the number three place on the top five list and it is continuously raise in numbers. I don’t know the exact number, but I think it will soon celebrate it’s half a million number and that is a great achievement for anything and especially an online game that was not that long on the market. If you look at the numbers this game has, you can clearly see that the number of players is rapidly raise since the last expansion and that was not so long ago. I think that the numbers are going to get wild around New Year.

Square Enix, the company that released FFXI, is very tight lipped about subscription numbers. It's generally accepted that FFXI has approx. 500k-750k subscriptions.

i think there are like 32 servers about 3000+ on each depending on the server and time of day
