Those are 2 phrases that should NEVER, NEVER be used in the same sentence or thought.

That's not quite true.
They also provide willing test subjects for me to summon demons into.
Unfortunately the demon usually just mindrapes them and runs off. I really need to get some better binding spells, the old twine and tar charm doesn't work very well anymore.

I have strenuously disagree. I hadn't bought any music in years until I heard him. I was looking forward to what he was going to do in the future. He got me interested in music again. I bet he would have been an excellent contrast to the unadulterated SHIT they call rock nowadays. He died in a helicopter crash way to young, too bad.

A scotch, a good cigar(back when it was ok to smoke inside), a bar to rest my elbow on, a thigh to rest my hand on and Riviera Paradise playing in the background.
It don't get better then that.

I love The cure, cruxshadows, bauhaus, vnv nation, funkervogt, collide, siouxsie, inkubus sukkubus, die form, apop, wolfsheim, sisters, all that stuff... and would love to meet someone who actually liked my music too, lol. But unfortunately, every " Goth " i've ever meet is just another intellectual a*****e that is more worried about their new boots or eyeliner than being a person you actually wanna get to know.

*sigh* The good die young.......
Stevie Ray is one of my all time favorites. I like local boy guitar n**d Jim Mesi. (he is not so young, not as over the top in pure energy as Stevie) More of a retro style rock n roll and blues. http://www.jimmesi.com/video/
Lots of others, but these guys stand out.
Those guys use the guitar as an extension of their own body and mind.

SRV is amazing. He is by far my favorite musician of all time. Not to mention the best guitarist ever. I have a DVD of him live at the El Mocambo, and it is insane. He whips the guitar behind his back and solos better then 99% of people do with the guitar infront of them. If you like that type of blues music, you may wanna check out Jonny Lang. Hes real good. His vocals are amazing and his guitar is good but not great. Live though he has a ton of energy and the guitar plays through his whole body with his facial features and the way he moves when playing.
