If you do your research, there are estimated dates for all types of energy sources that are used in modern life which will run out. Obviously there will be ways to find new energy methods and renewable resources, but for now its gas.
They probably already have something in mind, just selling the gas they have at the moment for the money.
Its a money world!

Basically when someone finds a new more cost effective way for travelling they will switch to it. Petrol will rise in price making it easier...

When we run out of gas. Seriously. It's not in oil companies nor car companies' best interests to convert to cleaner energy.

We prbbly wont change in near future since the gas firms wish to stick with their produkt so they'll prbbly just sabotage a little to earn more money.
