priests are cloth in wow. and in wow, cloth/lether/mail/plate actually matters. paladins can make viable healers though

It looked more like he was asking about the viability of 2-boxing. If you play the tank as a "stand there and hit it" and the priest a healerbot then you can probably do it, but unlike EQ your character has to do a lot of stuff to be really effective. A priest who isn't doing decent DPS or a paladin who isn't using the right seal combo is probably going to end up being less effective than playing any one class at its fullest. Combat is pretty interactive for all classes (that I've played anyway).

I'm sure someone is going to chime in and say how they play 3 chars and always do everything right, but in general that's how I see it. You can do it but a priest in WoW is more than a CH-bot if you want to play it well, and a tank does more than put on a BoC and stand there with autoattack on.

Actually i agree, the game is much more fast paced then eq, twoboxing would be almost pointless because any battle/quest that does take more then one person probably takes more action then one person can do in two characters. The only real reason i could see twoboxing would be to possibly solo instances and nab all the loot for yourself. Not really fun though imo.

Ohh and if your thinking of twoboxing on a pvp server dont bother Smile

Like most of the other EQ addicts, I 4-boxed in EQ1 with no problems whatsoever. It took that much to keep my interest.

Two-boxing in WoW is pretty challenging. I had trouble doing it in beta, even with the priest doing little more than healing.

I've been boxing priest + warrior because like occ, i just cant play 1 toon and stay interested ;P
And i hate stupid people so grouping is a nono

It IS doable, but like someone said it will reduce your priests total effectiveness to 50-60%

I've set up a few macros to make it easy though. assist shadow dots/nukes, assis heals, assist and attack etc.
It works it just takes a LOT more skillt hen in EQ and can get a lil annoying sometimes.

The biggest reason i did it is for the rez when my tank dies.
I'd say 70% of the time i just play my warrior 100% and heal once in a while with cleric and when shit hits the fan i let cleric run like hell and die with tank.
Then i rez and go on.

Basically this has avoided me having to run back to corpse for 20 min about 60% of the time Razz
BIG improvement especially in instances Smile

Priests can be pretty badass in PvP.

Priests are stupidly overpowered in PvP in 1v1 situations.

There's no real reason to two-box in WoW, since you can pretty much solo to 60 with no downtime thanks to food and first aid if you're a melee, and drinks if you're a caster.

I really, really like the shaman class. Very Happy If I ever buy a 2nd account, it would be for a female toon to cyber for gold.

i 2-boxed in beta, warrior and priest, after about level 15 (getting new abilities and spells) i starts to be come to much, you can play one class just as effectivly as 2 because there is so much to do. Playing 2 was making me like tired... from playing a video game.
