I have only ever played WoW in the last 3 years as i been very addicted to it. I tried D&D online for a couple days but just didn't think it measured up. How does this game fair against WoW & is there any other games i should be seriosly looking at?

Well for starters there seems to be less PVP in AO than in WoW. There are also alot of options to set up your character skill wise that can make difference in your role in a group. I sincerely hope you will do the trial for AO as I went from WoW to AO recently as well. Also check www.mmorpg.com as there is new graphics/rendering that are going to be added to AO.
Hope this somewhat helps.

depends on your style, I prefer Anarchy, WoW is a bit kiddified for me and Funcom has done a great job with Anarchy but put your eye on the prize: Age of Conan

Well, AO is quite difficult compared to WoW, at least for a newcomer. But once you've learned the basic, everything is fine !
