I dont know very much about crafting, I never had time for such things in mmo games. For me it is always easier to earn cash and buy the item. Classes which like crafting are engineers and traders. Check out the official traders and engineers forums for more details on topic.

Ive been playing Vanguard some time ago and I liked the crafting system there. So I hear there is also crafting here in Anarchy Online. As far as I see, it isnt so popular in the game. Which are the classes who are doing crafting? Thank you all for your responses!

Crafting or "Tradeskilling" in AO is very simplistic; basically it's just:
Pick up item#1
Shift+Click item#2 you want to combine with (in the right order - non reversable).
Sure there are some quite long processes but the mechanic is very simple; unlike the added features in vanguard with grades etc.
