so im going to take a processor out of a computer that is a 2.2gig
i have a 1.8 gig in my computer right now will there be any problems wwhen i do this

as long as it's the same FSB speed as the mobo it will work

ohh and if the pros is a Intel make sure it's an Intel board same goes with AMD
|

ohh and .. if you know your motherboard manufacturer / model .. check their website for information ..
if you dont ... then who knows ..
the worst that could happen is you fry the processor and your motherboard
the best that could happen is you go up a whole 400mhz .. thats like .. adding an old p1 to the speed of your comp .. score ..

you overclock it by setting the mobo to a higher rate than what you are supposed to be running at (ie set it to 10x speed instead of 5x). Its not that hard and most times doesnt hurt but you should watch the temp often.

you might have to buy a new heatsink and fan for the pros as well
