How does PvP work in Vanguard?

Ive always been a PvE player, but I thought of trying PvP now. I see that there are two basic types of PvP game play in Vanguard, so could anyone explain the main differences of the two? So what is exactly Team PvP and on the other side what is FFA PvP? Is the other one some kind of 1on1?

Team PvP basically means that there are teams and one team can attack only other teams. Teams can be made of various classes and races. FFA PvP is free for anyone so you dont have to be a part of a team. However it seems Team PvP servers will be shut down so only FFA remains in future.
