I am on this machine that's getting all kinds of those bogus mesenger "alerts" saying you need to patch your shit, etc.. I know this is spywatr, but I cant find out where to shut messenger down.
Help me please

go to 'Run' and type in MSConfig, and services, and check off messanger.

if you are on XP i believe you have to also disable the service from ever running again .. you can do that in its properties
|

right click my computer
go to manage
go to services and applications
click services
scroll list till you see messenger
click and disable it
|

download avg, run a scan, find, and delete that crapola off your computer!
