I am seriously thinking about playing Lineage 2, but I am somewhat afraid that I will not have the level of satisfaction I am hoping for. I am afraid that controls are lousy, so I am asking you how controllable if fighting in the game. I expect the answer from several veteran players, who have been in large battles and know what to do in tight situations. Can you help the future player?

The thing about every game and its controls is that you must go through some period of adaptation. In this game, so are using your mouse to control your character, and a keyboard to cast your spells and for using shortcuts. In every battle, you must keep your head cool and your mind clear, and only then you will have success. When you get used with controls, the game will reward you with very fun experience. With the time, fighting is getting more and more controllable. As always, it is in the player if he can play the game.

Once u get use to the controls of lineage2 the pvping is flawless. there is so much personal skill u can put into your pvp style especially for a dagger class. every class is balanced there really are no overpowers accept for boss jewels. every class does have there weakneses tho.

Fighting in L2 is not much controllable. The attacks are mostly " auto " attacks. As in, not hack&slash style. However, you might get Hack and slash style out of some classes, like tyrants. They attack with amazing speed as buffed and without compaired to others, and really fun. Skills also dont require anything but the mana they always do and sometimes synergy. Like tyrants need to charge those balls for that skill that slows down i think. If you want hack and slash styled game, i tell you to consider other games than lineage 2. It simply isnt hack and slash, its just another gear based game that is bottable, ( bottable = nothing skill-based in it. ) PvP also is mostly about spamming couple skills at tops. Sometimes whole bar but usually not. Especially as caster. Which usually should do the most trickiest spells. Eh?
