Just got the game, and it blue screens as soon as I start it: "page fault in nonpaged area" from nv4_disp.dll. I've got the latest nvidia WHQL driver, so I assume it should be something basic.
But I can't post in the support forum. I logon with my account name (and then it shows me a "logout" button so I assume I got logged on). It does seem to show my account as "anonymous" (maybe because I haven't created a character yet?). Anyway it lets me compose messages, but whenever I hit post I get the message "forum is restricted" and it won't let me. WTF does that mean? Restricted to what? Does it not like my account? Can I not post because I don't have a character. Is the forum itself just down for the moment? Seems to do it in all forums: support, general, off-topic...

I got the same thing the other day. Think I just closed the window and opened a new one and started over, making sure I logged in right away and it let my post go through.

Thanks, but doesn't work for me. I've tried from three different PCs, IE and Mozilla, logged in immediately from a new browser etc. Nothing works; I just can't post.

Heh no, page fault is from running the game.
Actually it seemed like it would have run after I installed it from the CD (it ran far enough to give me the "play game" screen), but then it updated itself from the net and that's when it seemed to start page faulting as soon as I run it.
"Forum restricted" is from the browser when I try to ask for help about the pagefault on their support forums (or any of their forums).

OK, fixed my problem by going back to the nvidia driver I was using 4-5 months ago. Weird that the current drivers are WHQL but blue screen XP - shows how much WHQL means
Anyway, now that I've been able to get into the game and make a character, I can post on the forums. It is a bit dumb that if you can't get the game to run far enough to create a character, you're not allowed to post on the support forum either.
At least the actual game is pretty fun so far, at least when it works. Lag was so incredible for most of last night I had no idea whether I was fighting or not, still casting a spell, recasting it, whether the fight was over, or if the mob had run away or anything. I timed myself and it was taking 10-15 seconds on average just to loot. And my ping time was 47, so I don't think the lag is on my end.
haha just read this and it sounds kind of negative - was having sort of a bad day yesterday. I'm actually enjoying the game a lot
