If I won the lotto I think I would buy a quaint cottage with big, beautiful windows that let the sun in and have my mom decorate it. Then, I would write stories by the window.
I would give 100,000 each to my cousins to pay for college, pay off my parents' homes/bills and then who knows?

I'll be a writer, living in a warm, cozy, refurbished lighthouse, and you'll ride the seas in the early, crystal-skied morning, bringing in netloads of fish that I'll buy with a discerning eye, one hand to my chin. We'll talk about realpoor and its crazy residents! Later, you'll drown, and sometimes at night I'll see your barnacle covered skeleton walking the lonely beaches in search of the warmth of the living. Maybe I'll come out with a poleaxe and finish you off, but I think not! No, I think I'll sit by the window instead with a hot cup of cocoa and watch as you clutch at sleeping birds with mindless claws, ripping their wings from their gray-speckled breasts, clamping your teeth over and over in madness |

Just take it from the rappers. Invest ALL of your money in items that quickly lose value like cars! f**k real-estate... that's for p*****s.
Give me $3k bottles of champaign till I'm blue in the face. Oh, and *LOTS* of strippers. 100's a good number. That's only like $120k.

i think i read a stat somewhere that said 80% of the money played into the New York Lotto was from people making less than 20,000 per year. So, take people with likely very little fiscal responsibility, give them large sums of cash, and watch it all go away.

There is very little corellation between fiscal responsibility and your wages.

Yeah... that was a pretty stupid relationship to establish.

$1 Million isn't what it used to be. And for a $50,000/year payout I wouldn't even bother playing.
Then again, maybe I'm spoiled by "Euromillions" starting with ~$15m everytime someone hits the jackpot. Routinely goes over $100m, all paid out at once and exempt from taxes - cha ching~

I would be perfectly happy with a 50,000 year payout myself. I make less than that per year and I live fairly nicely on it.
