but i will say this, the story line from ff3ame... to ff10/9 has started dramatically sucking as the graphics increased. It must be a ratio graphics to story line. as graphics go up, story goes down and vice versa..

it seems only the odd numbered US realeases are even worth playing. Although II/IV wasn't all that bad.

No it isn't. Final Fantasy XI is still the best looking game to ever be released to the SNES.
That's like comparing a f*****g steam engine to solar power. At the time at which it was discovered, it was something to be marveled at. |
That's not the point here:
here is the battle -
FF3 - 9 years old, outdated graphics, incredible gameplay, in depth story line with many twists and turns
FF8 - 4 years old, very impressive graphics and CG movies, SHIT gameplay, SHIT storyline
FF3 wins hands down, because graphics don't mean SHIT, and they never will, graphics will always be an added bonus, gameplay is everything. That is the argument, and that is what I mean by saying 'very well put' in response to Ciladar's post.
As far as FF3 being the best looking game ever released for SNES - Chrono Trigger was better looking.

No it wasn't and furthermore you're the one who is missing the point. The point is that it's a terrible comparison.
Graphics quality is almost directly influenced by the time the game came out and the general graphics capability at that time. No, good graphics do not determine good gameplay but comparing graphics from FF VI to VIII is sheer stupidity.

horizons is alot of fun, right now theres not alot of content, its all server stability phase right now. next phase they are adding content. I have a rating 37 wiz/mage/warrior/healer . I can solo about every monster i have come in contact with. I can heal myself and nuke for tons and have good hp's from warrior.

I can't speak for Horizons. The biggest draw to it for me is the mass of races that honestly everyone has thought atleast once. HMm, wonder what it'd be like to play a Dragon for instance. But, as for Lineage 2 . . . Lovin it so far.

I would think game balance between races would make for nonstop nerf whine fest.. WAAAA that dragons can hit for 50000 without a melee weapon.. and so on untill all the races really are different by the skin they use...

K, I've been playing a little Horizons. And after having played both games. My vote goes to L2. Both have good graphics, but I like the ones for L2 better. And I like L2 in general better actually. Can't wait for the English beta.

I'm confused here.. your numbering has to be off, becuase Final Fantasy XI is still in beta. |
and FF VII was never released for the SNES, at the time of it's release the N64 was Nintendo's latest gaming platform, and even that didn't get FF VII, as it still used cartrages instead of CDs.
