Marriage is a privellage not a right.
Priest/Pastor/Minister/other religious members can refuse to marry a couple. You don't get to get married "just because".
Although the court house will marry you, all you gotta do is pay the fee.
I am married, to a woman, many people on rp know her, she's a cutie 
I will not have my union cheapened by allowing same **** couples the same privellage. Marriage is special, it's not just a title you get to carry around and have rings put on your fingers, it's something deeper.
Aren't homosexual's just complaining that they don't get the same rights and breaks as married couples? That sounds like a pretty disturbing reason to get married.
Stick to your civil unions if that's all you want. Homosexuals will basicly only be married in a court house. Won't be able to get married in a church... well most churchs. Deffiently not a Catholic church.

Then we can get college money from the UNCF.
wouldnt that be the same as gays being allowed to be "married"?

why is your marriage cheapened by that? is your marriage not cheapened by the increasing divorce rate? is it not cheapened by people who don't get married because of "true love?"
what are you scared of? homosexual couples being able to adopt, raise kids? can they not love each other?

Not all gays think that marriage is there for the legal benefits, it can have a deeper meaning to them too.

Why'd you get married? You love that person don't you? A gay's love for their partner is the same as yours. Why deny gays the same marriage where 2 people declare love for each other?

"they" also want it to be called marriage. And I'm scared of my taxes going up and my insurance costs going up among other things because our system is not designed with that in it right now.
If it were that gays wanted just to be recognized as a couple and called it a civil union, this wouldnt be an issue because it already is that way

There is a difference between a union of two people and a marriage under God. The term marriage is thrown around because it is generic and easy to use. Again I will go back to our constitution where it separates religion from state. RELIGION FROM STATE. Or you can easily check out the first amendment. Saying to same **** people cannot be brought together is saying like two buddhists cannot be married or two atheists. What is wrong with two people wanting to be recogonized in a union anyways? They don't save money on their taxes, health insurance companies make more money, and lastly it gets rid of the controversy about the issue.

A homosexual's love for their partner is not the same as mine. Theirs is a mental imbalance or caused by a experience/enviroment. "I was born gay" - b******t. No one is born anything, something happens, you were around or took part in something that caused you to become gay.
But I'm getting off-topic here. "a marriage under god" homosexuality is not condoned in religion. It is a spiritual binding of souls, in the eyes of god, so on so on. Minion would say I'm a raving Jesus freak/Bible thumper. Fact is I have religious morals, and respect for custom.
What's next, Mr. Farmer marries his sheep? Homosexuals are not widely excepted as the norm. They most likely never will, or it will take a long time. I don't think an admendment will pass, I believe it will be left up to states to decide for themselves. Some states will allow it but most conservative states will not.
Don't plan on getting married in the southern states. So then what, we'll then have states labeled as homosexual states because all gay people will move to them?
It's a ridiculess contraversy brought up by a ridiculess problem. We have anti-depression medication. Someone invent some anti-homosexuality pills. Homosexuality is a mental disorder, that's all. The same as someone wanting to have **** with a dog/sheep/goat/horse/ect. A chemical imbalance in the brain.
I'm not scared of anything. Gay people are like the noisy people next door, I tolerate them. I don't have to like them.

I don't agree with it, which is why I haven't read anything about it. They got married at what Las Vegas or a court house? Most likely Las Vegas.
Atleast is was a man and a woman. I don't care that homosexual's want to be "together" I care that they want to call it marriage. The word marriage is sacred. Has to do with religion. Something you should do in a church under god. Call it a legal union.
