Saw the sneak preview last night. I would have payed for it, and that's streching it for me since I'm boycotting movies after spending $8.50 for some piece of crap.

If you liked the show/book, you'll like the movie.

One time in 'nam I used a reed to breath through while I waited for the bastards to move by. I then left the scene, because it was spooky.

Frickin LOVE the book. I read it every couple of years, I love it that much.

Looking forward to the flick but I think they missed an opprtunity on release date... it should have been 4/2 not 4/29. Stupid marketing.

BBC actually Wink

I have my tickets already for it... expensive, but probably one of three movies total I will go to a theater for this year.

Kung Fu Hustle owns as well, but I'd go see Hitchhikers as you can get the DVD of KFH.

Shaolin Soccer was like the mighty ducks from china.

However. The part where the guy has to sing and everyone starts singing and it's like a musical...

that part was AMAZING.

yes, and they still do show them. My point was that it wasn't made by PBS. Nothing more, didn't doubt it was shown there. Just asking that credit be given where credit was due.

Ooh, yes, BBC--wasn't challenging you, Nic....figured you weren't a NYer so was just giving ya an FYI Smile

Dr Who and a zillion other thing were on years ago...and are still shown now, to a new audience Smile

I love my BBC America channel. I probably watch more programs on it than any other channel. Sooo much better than a lot of American programming.

I just got back, I loved it and had a smile on my face the whole time.

The whale was awsome ++

The one thing they left out that I dont like is the whole shpeil(sp?) about the babble fish. Yea it said what it did but it didnt give any of the history about it like the thing with god and the intergalactic war and such.

*spoilerish*

This movie had me laughing the entire time.

From the musical number right through to the gun.

I was happy with all but one addition they did to the show and that was how deep they made Trillian and Arthur's relationship go.

God it was really good though. Love the fact that they added the bit in during the credits about the fleet being eaten by a dog.

I dont think they could have done any better than they did, it was great flick...

but I do wish they would have expanded the pan galactic gargle blaster scene ... you know gin and tonic etc etc etc...

Tril was kinda hot.

Tril was Will Ferrill's girlfriend in Elf. If you saw that. She has an awesome track record with me!

I read the book a while ago. I liked the movie but I thought I didnt like the few changes. Did I just not remember the book correctly and was it pretty accurate to the book?
