Very true, but they're forgetting 1981 or so when the BBS system hit mainstream, and rather than facing repetitive, boring, normal lives, we just spend all day chatting to other people avoiding their repetitive, boring, normal lives.
Oh, and racking up 100's of dollars in long distance phone bills to connect to that porn board over in california.

Its really amazing how quickly the internet has evolved over a 10 year period of time.
Atleast the human race can adapt to something...
but then again, a chimp can adapt to big breasts and blow jobs on a screen too =\

Remember when "Computer Shopper" used to come out every month, and it was like three inches thick and weighed ten pounds, and the meat of it was huge lists of BBSs in every state?

Dont worry rootus. You would have done like the rest of us, and had a war dialer set up to call MCI and hack out long distance phone codes for ya. resulting in about 5-10 free phone codes a night for you to leach with.

It's much easier to just set up a secure tunnel to your PC at work, where you have access to every switch they own.
