What an assclown, this war is going to get alot of people killed.

Suicide bombings 'policy'

Quote:
IN THE IRAQI DESERT - A bomber posing as a taxi driver summoned American troops for help, then blew up his vehicle Saturday, killing himself and four soldiers and opening a new chapter of carnage in the war for Iraq. An Iraqi official said such attacks would be "routine military policy" in Iraq — and, he suggested chillingly, in America.

"We will use any means to kill our enemy in our land and we will follow the enemy into its land," Vice President Taha Yassin Ramadan said at a Baghdad news conference. "This is just the beginning. You'll hear more pleasant news later."

He said Iraq, like many other nations, cannot match American weaponry. "They have bombs that can kill 500 people, but I am sure that the day will come when a single martyrdom operation will kill 5,000 enemies."

Thousands of Arab volunteers have been pouring into Iraq since the start of the war, he said, adding that Iraq will provide them with what they need to fight the allied forces.

"The Iraqi people have a legal right to deal with the enemy with any means," he added.

Iraq would never have stooped to this if we had left well enough alone, but now it begins. When will we ever learn that it's our policy of subjecting other sovereign nations to our demands that makes us so hated? And if impeachment is the punishment for getting a b*****b in the oval office, what's the punishment for mass murder?

Novemeber 2004 can't come soon enough...

You f*****g gimp. This is just proof that Saddam should not be in any position of power.

People die in war, that's the way it goes. If you join the armed forces thinking you will get free money and education without fighting, you are naieve (sp).

Frankly, I think we are being way to nice about the way we are handling the war, but I understand the reasoning behind it.

Um...I thought they already hated us. The world is a much less stable place than we air-conditioned Americans were led to believe under the Clinton Administration. It's sad, but we need war to clean things up.

It isn't about the soldiers, it's about bringing the war to our soil. I don't think it will be long before an office or a mall gets bombed here, something that Iraq wasn't about to do. Saddam is not a fanatic, he just wants his little middle-eastern empire.

And if you know a word is spelled wrong... www.dictionary.com takes four seconds. You'd learn something in the process, too.

Saddam's regime had nothing to do with 9/11. That's a fact.

All Bush is doing is multiplying our enemies and exacerbating the problem.

Docter has nothing to say, I think he's bitter his boy is out next year.

It's his own fault, you know. He was wildly popular a year ago.

I said it before, i'll say it again.

9/11 is not iraq. No more than pearl harbor is to China or Oklahoma bombing is to the state of Ohio.

She never did get shipped out, she's still waiting.

As far as that goes, this operation has been a bigger clusterfuck than you all can imagine. We've already had a few top advisors resign and now Rumsfeld is under attack for micromanaging and 'not knowing what's he's doing.' (a senior planner's words, not mine).

Doesn't exactly sound like the war America expected, eh? Well maybe the tank divisions we're sending in will rectify the problem...

It's all about a few guys wanting their day in the sun, but they're simply not qualified. Too bad people have to die so we can find this out.

Personally, I'm glad this problem is being taken care of, now, and t won't come without a price. This situation is much worse than if we had taken care of it 12 years ago. If you're too chickenshit to fight for anything, then go to France. This is a necessary war. BTW, you're right that 9/11 didn't have anything to do with Iraq. It had to do with the entire muslim world.

There are satellite photos of boeing 707 fuselages that were being used by terrorists. Guess who supplied those fuselages....Iraq. Also the original WTC attack in 93' had fingerprints leading to Iraq intelligence.

b*******t. Who resigned over this war? Perle? The guy who resigned for being investigated over an ethics issue? As for your "senior planner's quote" in The New Yorker (a liberal anti-war outlet)..what was his position? Who is he? Just because some anonymous employee in the DOD doesn't like Rumsfeld and a liberal rag picks up on it does not make this so-far successful campaign a "clusterfuck". Get a clue...ass.

It's not a threat, it's a promise. They will lose the war eventually and this is all they can do. (especially if they don't have WoMD... we've found zilch so far btw if you're keeping score!)

Furthermore, wheresnws, I don't know how you can follow the war and not see that it's a clusterfuck and Rumsfeld is in over his head. Poor old man should've stayed retired. Additionally, I kinda believe his planners over you, especially if you're gonna play the 'liberal rag' card again. Good god, when's the last time we haven't seen that played when someone says something negetive about the GOP???

Ohhhhhhh It's not a threat, its a PROMISE! This changes EVERYTHING! Oh GOD NO IM GONNA GO HIDE IN MY BASEMENT NOW TELL ME WHEN IT'S OVER.

Gimmie a f****n break. We have stormed thru 600 miles of Iraq and sustained a total of 40 or so casualties. About half of our casualties coming from non Iraqi resistance. It's almost as dangerous to fly in a helicopter than it is to be on the front line fighting. Akronn, it's been obvious that you have been WAITING for a chance to jump all over Bush/this war. You would be jumping all over it no matter what. If we found 200 nukes, took over Iraq in 1 day and sustained a total of 3 casualties you would be on here b******g about how those 3 people shouldn't have had to die.

As for not finding any chem/bio weapons? Considering prior intelligence indicted they were all in and around Baghdad, this isn't very surprising. Unless you are looking for a reason to b***h, then it means Iraq doesn't have anything, period, and Saddam really did destroy all the missing Chem/bio weapons. He just kept the destrcution of them secret from UN weapons inspectors until it was done! Yeah!

Yeah, but unfortunately the wrong ones are often calling the shots. That's why we've got folks speaking up. The war is on and isn't gonna stop until the job is done, I don't think there's any disagreement there, but please will Bush and Rumsfeld step aside and shut up already? Now isn't the time for ego-tripping.

As for what's wrong with our plan, Manuva, it's been stated by military brass (the guys who actually do know what's going on, not Rumsfeld) We're over-extended to the point where supply lines are very weak, we're not well-manned enough (got a 100,000 more troops on the way, including many tanks, so that's verified), and we grossly under-estimated some of Iraq's lesser armies. Battles in the south still rage on with a long ways to go yet. March to Baghdad indeed.

Oh well, we'll fix this in a month or so.

Explain to me how this is a "clusterfuck", beyond using the term. As for you trusting Rumsfeld's (Actually Tommy Frank's) planners, take a poll. A planner is not a rare appointed position like the secretary of defense, so when a planner says he disagrees with Rumsfeld, it is inconsequential. They are a vast collection of officers and civilian employees laying out the details for war, who will disagree on numerous issues.

And I bring up the "liberal rag" because you quoted a single biased source without naming it. Its obvious bias effects the credibility of the quote, which was more likely sought out among DOD empoyees. We've gone over this, before. Every news outlet has its biases, so calling this war a "clusterfuck" or blinding success based on any single story is retarded.

Akronn do you actually do any research before you spout off? You know that almost exclusively the WMD facilities in question are all very close to Baghdad? That means that we haven't taken that territory yet, and really are unable to inspect them at the current point in time. Quite possibly, Iraq has hidden these weapons(so Hans Blix couldn't find them) and they probably aren't going to be dumb enough to leave them lying around in the streets of Safwan or Umm Qasr for Sgt. Bob to stumble over.

As far as 'the war being brought to America', it's here, it's here, and it's been here for 10 years, and it most certainly is not the fault of the current President.

Of course people are going to die, it's a war. Thats the predominant act of a 'war', killing people. No one likes it, but it is necessary at times to further our nations goals, and gee sometimes to set things right. Has this country become so squeamish that the patriotic types of acts that brought this country about, made it the strongest nation in history, are now unacceptable? If thats the case, it's probably time for an even worse war than this one to remind us of where we come from.
