I have a simple request for you all. I'm having serious problems getting "into the spirit" of Christmas and it's bumming me out big time. Lot of shit happening at home and a lot of it isn't much fun, I'm doing what I can to take care of it all, but a lot of it is out of my hands atm.
I'm putting in a simple request here, add something nice to this thread please? I know this is realpoor and the chances of this happening can be slim and none, but it's worth a try!
Say something nice about someone on the board...tell me about something you did for someone else that made them happy *and no I don't want to hear about your **** life thank you!  *
Mods? if someone posts crap please edit it.

now you may not fully understand just what that truely means coming from me.
im afraid of people, for real. i have no social life outside of this computer and i dont like to leave my home for anything and most times have to be forced to do so.
i dont make new friends i dont meet people ive met on line hell i dont even want to meet new people... but you...
youre something special and i think it would own to meet you irl an sit and have a coffee or tea an let my angry little minions hang with your orclings.

Well since jizz and porn has already been mentioned, I'll have to go with this.......
Sometimes when I get annoyed or discouraged etc by the way things are going around me, I imagine what it would be like if all that suddenly poofed. Suddenly this eerie silence appears, and it feels worse than all those annoyances and discouragements. So I figure.. its all a part of life, it too shall pass, and at least we all are alive to feel up or down or complain etc......I get my little perspective boost and go on from there.
Reinvent the holidays and how to share/spend them if you have to.

We had a Christmas party for people's kids where I worked on Friday. Most of the company has kids under one or two years old, and they were all dressed up in their Christmas clothes and saw Santa for the first time for a lot of them. At the end we had baby races where we lined up all the kids who could crawl at one end of the room, and put Santa and some toys at the other side, and they crawled as fast as they could to him. A few veered off course, but it was still a photo finish  It's been a rough couple of weeks, but that was so cute it made me feel a lot more in the Christmas spirit.

i wish i had a way to record an play my little guy for you all.... he LOVES to sing he sings all the time he walks around singing everything from twinkle twinkle to all star (shrek song).
well now hes learning we wish you a merry xmas cause he wants to sing it for grandpa..
his grandfather is very musical an has been teaching the wee ones to play what ever thier hearts desire be it keyboard guitar violin, grandpa plays them all.
ill see if i can get teamspeak back up and running and record it on there perhaps

I'm never much of a christmas person either Tam but in '99 the place I worked for setup an adopt a family thing and I volunteered to help out and deliver the presents. It was such a big deal, you realize that there are people who have NOTHING and to see kids smile at the small amount of gifts that you are able to give them and the parents just give you a look of "oh god thank you so much" without saying a word its just incredible so every year I think about that. I sit back and realize I'm lucky enough to have a happy and healthy family, a roof over my head, food and a good job and of course realpoor and then I think that there aren't people who aren't so fortunate and it picks up my spirits to know I can help and I did. So cheer up kid, besides, unless you're birthday is the day after christmas, which mine is, atleast you don't have to hear "wow that must really suck" everytime you have to show your id somewhere
