Wahh! I Don't understand all this computer lingo.

I typed in Google "Windows Vista Audio Output device" and went to this website:

http://www.quickpcsolutions.org/Drivers/audio-sound-drivers.html?gclid=CMGEkIDN15YCFQSPFQodjBnk2w

Let see if the download helps.

Well that was a waste of time. I installed it and used the scan option. The scan had come up with 16 different things that needed to be fixed. The problem is, its needs a registration key, which I'm pretty much sure you need to buy.

God I hate computers...

Do you mind sending me your computer make and model in a PM so that I can get you proper links to downloads?

also I didn't notice you were talking about dynamic contrast ratio. Make sure it has a good STATIC contrast ratio. Dynamic, like the cake, is a lie.

Go to this page it will help you find the drivers for your computer.
HP Support
Notice the "How do I find my product name/number?" link below the search.

Aside from limiting the amount of space system restore takes up for the recovery drive I'm not sure what else is causing it.... If you are putting files there then it will fill up...

This link will help you with the system restore size
Reduce System Restore's Disk Usage in Vista Do the "Show Allocated System Restore Size" step and then post the results.

There's another option, sell the computer and you'll end up with non. Still doesn't fix the sound problem, it'll be even more quiet lol.

Also you tried to run the resize command, don't do that yet. Just the one that reports the usage.

On the right it was 29% or so before. What does this 62% mean? Now its 63%...the computer has been on like everyday for the whole day practically. Is this the heat and do I need to change the thermal paste? Not sure whats going on.

Also what else do I need for my computer? Right now I used 280gb from 500gb harddrive. Should I buy a sata2 or sata? I'm probably going to buy another 500g.

Another thing, I have a dvd burner. I have some movies to be burnt on dvd format and want them to play on most DvD players, what should I buy... DvD-R or DvD+R?

1TB is too much don't you think? I won't be using all the lol.

HAHA!!!! That is what you get for not listening to me! lol. Go Sata 2, even though chances are the drive can't transfer that fast. It is backwards compatable with Sata 1 and the price difference for the most part is neglegible.

As for the DVD+-R issues read this:
DVD+R and DVD-R 101: An Explanation for Beginners

As for the temp monitor, I haven't used that one you had a picture of so I don't know what the %'s are. I can tell you that the computer will not be as hot when it is idle as it is when it is doing hard work. A chip can usually survive temperatures up to 90 deg celcius but you don't want to test it. 30 deg is pretty average under hardly any load. 50-60 deg under heavy load, sometimes 70 under extreme load but if that is the case you should find a better cooling option to bring that down to 60ish. Some more info about the read out from that program would be helpful Very Happy

I think I figured what it is. Ram memory being used. Yeah I didn't figure I would be actually using up 500gb. 280gb fast already, its mostly from the Adobe Master Collection. I know for a fact I'll be getting tons of games so I'll need more.

Sounds to me like a virus. Try reinstalling Yahoo messenger 1st but I don't believe it relies on the VC++ runtimes, so scan your computer.
