Anyone know of anything out there that mounts a harddrive and suspends it somehow? I'm in the final stages of my carputer and I was hoping there would be a better solution than bubble wrap.

I get a feeling such a set up would only cause more noise.
Logic is that if it's suspended then the setting is not as stable as a rack (I assume)
Thus it's subject to making even more noise. For example if u do not fit a drive tight with screws it tends to be louder than a drive that you s***w down really tight.
That's just my opinion though.

Noise?
I want a suspension mount so I don't hurt the drive if I hit a bump.

make your own. get the hard drive and whatever you are going to put it in then go to like hobby lobby and buy some springs and a plate of whatever material you want to use and attach it that way.

You literally could make one out of rubber bands, drive rails, and some kind of mounting.
