I've played majority of the Xbox version and really don't see the big fascination over this game, I find it to be quite boring.
You can only kill the same looking shit for so long and it's like been there done this before

the problem with leaks like this where it is the actual game and not a silver or anything someone leaked from the inside is in my eyes the publisher's problem/fault or whatever.
The expect people not too break teh release date, if it is really that big of a deal then don't ship the f*****g thing until you want it out there, of course if you ship it someone will get their hands on it

I personally dont see the big fuss over Halo is either. I didn't really like the first one because it has been done better before. While the graphics of Halo 2 are nice, i still personally think it is a bit over-hyped

It's a console game. What do you expect?
For console only players who have never experience FPS on a PC, this is the best thing 'since sliced bread'. For people with PCs that grew up playing Wolfenstein, Doom, etc... and going to great FPS games like Half-life, Unreal, etc... Halo is just "average".
Hell, for the fact alone that you get a packaged game, and don't need to worry about spending 100's of dollars to upgrade your PC to see what all the fuss is about, its great.

It is because Halo has an online community of people that play like 24/7 and they have teams and live tournaments and f*****g halo circle jerks and everything else associated with an online gaming phenomenon. Rednecks stay up until like 3am trying to snipe each other in blood gulch while waiting for the moment when they can charge thru a teleport and kill 2suckas and then hump the shit out of there corpses.
I've played halo online and I would have to say humping the shit out of a fallen opponents corpse is pure dork bliss. There is a respawn time after death anywhere from 3-20 seconds where your opponent must sit silently whilst you defile his not-as-leet-as-you console-pixalated carcass.

Just played Halo 2 on Xlink Kai.
f*****g awesome. 10 player capture the flag, and don't need multi people on the same xbox. That's great!

id have to say playing halo 2 is better than halo
but overall halo is a lot like other FPSs, except slower gameplay
and you can punch
vehicles were cool too until UT decided they were cool .. but then again wtf is with vehicles not being in deathmatch / CTF in UT =\

You get what you pay for... so yeah, I can agree except when you look at the costs associated.
PC = ~$2K for a decent rig
Xbox = $149
