Even if you download the WoW Phase3 Beta will you be able to play it? I mean I can find the game itself on the web, close to two gigs but what can I do with it...

You can set up a sandbox and run around if you really want to. Phase 3 should be 2 gigs zipped btw.

there are servers out there... just not blizzards. I know its in German, but there are servers out there, the people just have to re-engineer them and build them from the bottom up, re-editing the code and what not.

translation of one of the forum posts:
- Download WoWBetaUS_Phase3 (www.suprnova.org) Make sure you download Phase 3 and not an earlier phase, they can't be patched. (You'll have to download the entire 2GB again when they push to Phase 4)
- install it. If you get the error "This application has failed to start because MSVCR71.dd was not found" download http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?msvcr71 and copy it to c:/windows/system (or system32)
- Use any random Authentication Key - doesn't matter
- Now download Beta3PatchFix and copy it to the WoW folder.
- download the Patch -Loader, move it to the WoW folder and start it to download the 190mb patch.
- If you want to play on Stormcraft servers, download their Login Tool. You'll have to change the RealmList location to "realmlist.no-ip.com" (default is stormcraft.realmlist.nl - that doesn't work anymore though)

i dont know what IP to use to login based on the instructions on that website but its cool that theres already an emulator for a game that isnt even out yet

is this the same as the plutonium server. i tried the plutonium server at a friends house, was bugged to hell, no quests, missing skills and spells, and other stuff like that. would like to try that stormcraft server if it has more of the game working.
suggestions????

yea the servers are bugged to hell, no quests, missing skills / spells, but what can you expect? its a ripped off version of the beta.. i play on the barbarr server or however its spelled, this game is pretty fun even though i have all of two spells...

yeah supernova is slow and for some reason if i download off it, it causes my cable connection to become worse than dialup . . .

im way new to all this stuff, i went to supernova and when i clicked download on the US beta version 3 it opened realplayer and said it couldnt play? wtf?
then on the storm loader thing it said it couldnt open due to writing (WoWLogin by StormCraft)
this is exact message:
Could not open WTF/Realmlist.WTF for writing
this was after i selected the barbaar server (only one that popped up with realmlist.no-ip.com as realm list )
im prob too dumb with computer stuff to understand any of this, but any help would be great

figured out the torrent file thing on super nova, now only prob is it wont let me onto server because of writing, not sure what that means :/

There is like 5min between posts, I doubt you downloaded the full 2gigs of WoW from Suprnova. You have to wait till the full thing is downloaded before you can install the game then try to connect to the hacked WoW servers.

It's only on Suprnova that I know of. It's two gigs, so it's going to take a while. The speed of the download changes, so it will go up most likey and it will take two days or maybe three.  Just one of the drawbacks of doing something not so legal.

So I downloaded, installed, patched, tweaked, and ran it. I connect to the plutonium server, make a character, and start the game. The loading bar reaches the end, and then it closes. No error message, no nothing, just closes and I'm back at desktop. Restarted the computer, closed all background applications, tried again. Same thing.
WTF?

crashing after the loading bar indicates you're not running the same version as the server.
When you installed the patch, did you get an error message? (something like 'checksum failed')
I had that issue until I copied the "Beta3PatchFix" files to the WoW folder.

actually i found one but dont know if its the right one
..
got it working but low and behold im in the game for about a minute and my random DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL bluescreen pops up
