HELP! I got scammed and need advice!

Ok a couple hours ago I sold two of my accounts to a man under the AIM screenname ScottVoyda. I sold the first account for 600 and the second account for 400. Everything went fine at first. He sent me the money first and I gave him the account information after it had come up as a completed transaction on paypal.

I log onto my paypal account about an hour later and I have never been so p****d off. Both the 600 and 400 dollar transaction are now being disputed. The buyer is claiming that he never authorized any of the purchases and now I'm out of a grand. Does anyone know what I should do? Unfortunately, I don't think there's anything you can do. This is the biggest risk of using paypal when selling an account.

You either need to know the person or get cash/money order.

I agree. There is nothing you can do. Last year I sold my Lineage 2 account on eBay and I had to deal with exactly the same situation.
At the end, he didnt get the account and I had to pay Paypal the currency convertion differences.

This goes in the hall of shame.
There is only 1 safe practice.
Sell,take money out of bank.
When i do a transaction, 1000+ , i have the wife,who works downtown in the same building where my bank is, go down and withraw the money and deposit it in my checking.

If they file a dispute,Paypals going to have to take it to court, which they do not want to do. In court, IP information can be obtained, which usually screws the scammer. IP info can be subpoenaed from Blizzard as well, showing the IP address where the accounts were logged in at.

But hey, if you are the OO you got nothing to worry about.

I am not the OO so i do have a lot to worry about. Fortunately, I'm most likely going to have the OO's of both accounts retrieve for me. But still, f**k that guy.

Got both my accounts back and I'm in the process of hopefully getting this scammer f**k's money too

u shud call payal and be like i sold the f*g 2 gamming accounts or make up sumthing

And ScottVoyda has been banned for ripping people off at MarkeeDragon as well.
Sorry you did a deal with someone who had not posted on this site or theirs. It is a lesson for all.

you can talk to paypal, and let them know he has done this repeatedly on here and markee. just see if they need links and start hunting. They will have his IP, since you did not use the noggin, you do not have his IP, which would be a very hard proof point as well as a VERY easy way to get his ISP to cancel his service
