Hi gang!
A lot of you that had been asking about the home theater stuff , TiVo and everything else with home entertainment might remember me talking about waiting till after CES to see what was coming out.

Welp...
the info has started to trickle in!!

sorry just realized you're going to need to create an account at the CES site if you want to read the press releases, but it's well worth doing so don't hesitate. Ya don't get a lot of spam from them unless you want it Wink

comcast comes with HD PVR for $5 more/month. built into cable.

hmm no wonder they were selling tivo 40 gigs for 50 bucks at best buy... we had a huge stockpile of em on the floor.

$5 is for the digital box. The programs broadcast in HD are nice, but I happily pay the $5 for the On Demand (my personal favorite) that comes with it.

I already have a decent audio set up, and now I'm looking to upgrade my television. I was looking at Samsung DLP's but they don't have anything smaller than 46". I'm looking for something around 36", with HDTV capabilities.

What do you suggest?

tivo is a PVR. Video recorder. The one with comcast does HD too which to get a tivo that does HD is like 700 i think
