Guild Wars Hard mode question

The site has the following to say regarding hard mode: "Once you win a campaign with any character on your account, every level 20 character on that same account will have access to Hard mode for that campaign."
However, I still have a post-Prophecies character that I can't enter Hard Mode with, WTF?

You know, that was such a popular question in late April this year
The answer is, of course, that you have to login at least once with the level 20 character who finished on Normal mode before Hard is unlocked. Good gaming.
