What's the difference between these two? My friend says Alliances are the same thing as Guilds, only with more members, but I'm not sure… Are there any added benefits of being a member of an Alliance instead of a Guild? Also, are Alliances somehow related to Factions? Thanks in advance, and forgive my ignorance…

Basically, an alliance is to a guild what a guild is to a character. It's a number of guilds united (into an alliance). One guild founds an alliance, and the others join it. Don't know what you mean about factions… in GW: Factions, an alliance must be aligned to either the Kurzixs or the Luxons, which leads to the possibility of faction-farming…
