I think it's kinda funny that awakened is still referred to as TA.
A few guidelines for naming your guild.
It should be 2 or 3 words long, preferably 2, to make a convenient acronym. One word guild names are no good unless they are less than 4 letters or can be conveniently abreviated, and neither are excessively long ones. (Awakened and Blacklist are no good, neither is SoTN and MoKB....Pak and Omen get by on the "short" and "easily abbrievated" clauses....Numi is pushing it but I'll let them slide as well)
It should not have the same 3 or 4 letters at the beginning as another established guild so people can see you by doing /w all clan or similar (/rude blacklist)
It should not contain the name of the server (this was death for DSoTM...Ladies of Tarew Marr never achieved greatness either)
It should never start with "the". "/w all the" gets you nothing, so you are forced to type /who all "the retards" to see where they are. This is bad. (Sorry TS, at least Awakened figured this out and changed it eventually, but at the same time screwed up the 2-3 word/easily abrieviated guideline.)
It should not contain any references to fuzzy children's tv show characters (sorry MoKB)
It should not have the same acronym as another guild on the server (Symphony of the Night broke up long before the current SotN was created, but it was still confusing).
So, the only properly named guilds on Tarew Marr are ED, Pak, SA, Omen, and BC. Your homework is to read chapter 3 and answer questions 3-8 and questions 11-17 for Monday.

One other clause to rule 1. Compound words, such as "afterlife" and "darkwind" while technically one word, are still acceptable because they can still be abbreviated to AL and DW. I could let Blacklist off on this one, but BL is already an established guild on TM and older than Blacklist so they still have multiple infractions. Sorry.

Speaking of good guild names, is it possible to pass a guild that like, has the acronym "f*g"? (like uhhh... "Fenin's Allied Guilds") Or will they reject it on the grounds that the acronym is offensive?
I know they tried to cockblock 3rd Wave Go for whatever reason... just curious as to if anyones tried this.
