I lost interest in most racing games a while ago.
They can never really re-create the experience of driving a car. No real acceleration or brake control, and not to mention the complete absence of a clutch. This coupled with the simple fact that manuvering a car at high speeds is just as much a matter of feeling what's going on around you as it is seeing the road has lead me to enjoy racing sims less and less. I honestly just have more fun taking my old, beat-up Paseo out on the backroads and opening it up.
However, Burnout 3 was hella fun. Destruction derby on the open highway....awesome.
