Is G3 going to be available in multiplayer? I didn't play the first two part, but I hear they didn’t have any kind of multiplayer support? That's just boring … but then again, I guess those were different times. Nowadays, few RPGs can sell without multiplayer. I hear the world is big and has an interesting backstory, wouldn't it be cool to have it as a MMO one day?

Not really, no. I don't think online play would go well with the atmosphere in any of the Gothic games. I agree with what you said about the industry these days, but I hope G3 will stand up to that challenge. I heard about some planes for later about a game called "Gothic Online" or something, as a persistent world independent of the G1-3 stories, but we don't know much about that ATM.
