Whenever I open Google or search for things, a search bar appears vertically on the left side of IE, taking up ~1/4 of the screen. It only happens in Google. Help me to not have this anymore.

Can't say I have this problem and Google is my home page. If you ran Adaware and it still shows up go through your Add/Remove programs list and see if you can find anything wierd in there. Also check Tools->Internet Options->Settings->View Objects for anything that looks wierd.
