Well yes and no.
Yes cause there is nothing there really and who cares, its not like the US or any other countries build shit ther eor anything they just pass. Maybe check more on illegal importation and shit.
No cause in fact it always been part of Canada and these waters are our boarder water, and we all know what would happen if any ship would enter the water zone boarder of the US.

Canadian nationalism exists, even when I lived there I was made fun of for being a "dirty American", and the public school system took much pride and time in educating the little kiddies about how the Canadians soundly defeated the Americans in the War of 1812, especially at Queenston Heights where we even took a field trip.
Ironically, that battle was Winfield Scott's first action.

Actually it was the British and not the Canadians. Canada did not exist as an independent country until 1931. It would be like saying the United States beat the French in the French Indian War.

11 December 1931 (Canada independence recognized)
