It's time for a tactical strike on Microsoft, particularly the programming team that made Internet Explorer.
We will need a team of this approximate stature:
Gunner:
2 uzis, lots of ammo
Demolition:
explosives (of course)
Big Gunner:
a shotgun, a grenade launcher
Who wants to do what?

it popped up when i was looking for guitar tabs a few times
also popped up looking for cheat codes / walkthroughs for video games
pops up a lot randomly
i think some random ads do it
it seems to happen most on websites that have 90,000 popups

Download the TweakUI program thingy on the right there.
Install it
The setting is in there somewhere to turn off and forever rid of the links folder in your favorites.
This is only for XP though I think.

but i did find a way to make my internet explorer working animation into an uber owl instead of the crappy flying windows thing

i got them back by switching between 16 and 32 bit color but i dont see why that would do it . . .
the icons werent even the same, they were like, the windows95 versions of the icons i have

Its under the explorer thing. so...
Click on explorer..and there are a list of Settings with checkmarks....scroll down that list till you see.
'Show links on favorites menu" and uncheck it.
You win!

When I try to install tweakUI, it says ' no entry point found through KERNAL32.dll
I've reformatted twice since I first tried it and it still gives me this shit.
The damn Links folder is p*****g me off, there has to be some other method of getting rid of it for good.
